Overview

The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the Professional Services and Engineering teams.  The primary objective of this position is to help create and maintain the management systems, processes and procedures that lead to the team’s exceptional performance in terms of financials, key metrics, internal and external customer satisfaction, and employee morale.   The key area of responsibility involves resource coordination and management for the LS Professional Services, Support, and Engineering teams.  Responsible for maximizing utilization of the staff by working closely with Professional Services, Support, and Engineering management team to assign projects, negotiate schedules and track performance against projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal project, methodology and other document templates and examples (sales forecast, project estimating, RTLS deployment, and related information and templates)
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts for staff resource planning.
  • Set up and review projects and associated staff assignments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports including exception reporting on project staffing results.
  • Reconcile with monthly results with an emphasis on staff and contractor use and utilization.
  • Provide administrative support for the PS Director and the PS team (e.g. book travel, coordinate meeting schedules, etc..)
  • Works closely with Sales Operation team to ensure timely forecast and capture of professional services revenue.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Skills and project management systems.
  • Written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in a high tech or services company.
  • Judgment and ability to prioritize.
  • Initiative and self starter.
  • Team player.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited day to day supervision.
  • SDLC experience preferred.
  • Scrum Master certified.
