The ideal candidate will have a varied background in manufacturing materials management, computer information systems, and automatic identification technologies. The position requires the ability to architect solutions from a broad portfolio of Zebra Location Solutions hardware, middleware, and application software to our clients for process improvement which is supported with knowledge of manufacturing business processes. The Solution Architects’s primary responsibilities will be to support direct sales teams in North America, provide technical leadership within the professional services team that implements solutions but also support sales activities in other geographical regions and business units as necessary.
Must develops strong relationships with the professional services team, sales team, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts and leverages to Zebra’s advantage; creates and delivers high impact solution presentations. Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred. Higher level technical skills than typical sales criteria. Develops and executes technology strategies with minimal input from manager for a higher level of financial responsibility. As required, leverages relationships with other business units and/or external partners to deliver solution; Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers; Leads technical presentations on a broad portfolio of Zebra Location Solutions hardware, middleware, application software and services the use of these solutions in the customer business environment.
