Overview

The Product Specialist I position works closely with the Supplies Product Managers (SPM), Supplies Sales and Product Marketing teams to execute the Supplies marketing strategy necessary to define, position and promote Zebra Supplies in the marketplace. Responsible for product lifecycle support, project coordination, competitor analysis, managing the supplies marketing sample room & program and assisting with product training for both Zebra associates and Zebra partners.

Responsibilities

  • Implement product lifecycle management activities (development, launch, maintenance, obsolescence) assigned by the Supplies Product Managers (SPM).
  • Analyze and present to the Supplies Product Management (SPM) Team on data for trends and report on progress vs. objectives/forecast.
  • Assist SPM in coordination of product development and launches across business functions and establish strong relationship with Printer and vertical marketing groups.
  • Collect, analyze and disseminate competitor product/pricing data, SWOTS analysis, maintain updated database.
  • Maintain all Supplies price guides.
  • Coordinate all Supplies partner communications through Product Marketing team.
  • Coordinate the development, production and implementation of sales training and related educational materials assigned by SPM.
  • Attend and work trade shows as requested.
  • Manage the Supplies sample program, sample room and vertical market kits used to promote and test Zebra supplies.
  • Manage and report on Printhead Protection Program
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree (preferred business/marketing)
  • 1+ years assisting in the management of one or more industrial product lines, or project management experience where interaction with customers was present
  • Strong analytical and business skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills within a product development or product management assignment
  • Self-motivation, self-management and able to take the initiative
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle Siebel.
  • Experience with MS Power BI a plus.
