Solution Consultant-Manufacturing, T&L

This position reports to the Director of Pre-Sales and Consulting, and will be part of our North American Team supporting our Manufacturing, Transportation and Logistics Sales efforts. The successful candidate will be working within the Global Sales Organization, directly engaged with our customers providing domain and solution expertise within the sales cycle.   A background in Plant Floor Systems and/or Supply Chain is highly desirable.

• To lead with a “hands on” approach a deep dive analysis of the customers’ needs and requirements. Seeking to diagnose the existing situation, in order to recommend best practice solutions for the way forward.
• Communicate and progress expectations, escalating any challenges for organizational awareness and/or resolution quickly and efficiently. Guiding the customer through the development and deployment process.
• Recognize and expose the drivers and benefits in the chosen solution(s) and champion them with the customer through multiple organizational levels.
• Provide domain expertise and support to other functional areas within the organization, including sales, engineering, corporate marketing, and product management.
• Assist in the clear and concise development of the project scope and success criteria, supporting the creation of the statement of work and other project definition documents.
• Support the customer through the challenges of the cutover process, playing a key role in promoting solution adoption.
• Provide the “Voice of the Customer” to sales and account management, ensuring solid value propositions for solutions.
• Ensure the seamless transition of the program or project to our global maintenance and support team upon its successful completion.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects utilizing and displaying strong planning and organizational skills.
• A four-year technical degree.  (Advanced degree a plus).
• Must have a strong solution selling, system Integration or application Interface background.
• 3+ Experience in the Manufacturing & Materials management business, with knowledge of MES and MRP and supply chain planning systems.
• Candidate has strong domain expertise in the manufacturing market. Understands the supply chain from the OEM’s to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and the operation of a modern manufacturing shop floor/assembly process in a JIT environment, expertise in other markets such as Transportation and Logistics would be a distinct advantage.

• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills, including communicating ideas easily and effectively to diverse audiences, small and large.
• Must be able to travel 50%, overnight travel.
