Overview

Zebra’s Engineering IT team is looking for an intern to assist in managing end to end critical engineering processes & design applications. This includes strong partnerships with the engineering community to meet their current and future business strategies. The team is responsible for the research, analysis, requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and all software management, integration and validation activities to support Zebra’s engineering teams. In addition, the team provides technical and other leadership in working through issues with other teams and follow up of issues to conclusion.

Responsibilities

Support IT DEV/OPS team with the following:

  • System documentation including architectural diagrams, process and data flowcharts, licensing, working with other IT people.
  • Audits for assuring requirements & performance adherence of all current infrastructure (servers, networks & their component), with apps developed new Product Development.
  • Interfacing with IT and Product Development people for requirements gathering, design specification, and testing.
  • Assist other Dev/Ops experienced associates with completing Dev/Ops (computing, networking, security, database, BI) activities for fast past product development changing world.

Qualifications

  • Junior/Senior with Bachelor Degree-Related Major (i.e. Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.).
  • Working knowledge with various Windows & Linux OS types, storage & computing architectures.
  • Knowledge of basic networking (switches, VLAN management, firewalls, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architectures, services (IaaS, PaaS, etc.), and solution providers
  • Preferred: working experience with servers, virtualization, hypervisors.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills, in completing activities for fast past product development changing world.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple activities concurrently, and ability to be agile in a fast past changing product development environment.
