Overview

The Innovation & Design Group within Zebra Technologies is an award-winning global customer research and design team positioned within Zebra’s Chief Technology Office. This team’s focus is on delivering compelling physical product design solutions and performance-based user experiences for the enterprise market.

 

As part of this team, designers are challenged to envision new products that solve highly complex problems and have the ability to carry these solutions into high-volume production.

 

Our customers’ users work in harsh environments with difficult problems and our design team is challenged with making sense of all this. Every day at Zebra you will face a unique problem to solve and there are few companies which can offer this.

 

We are looking for an individual who can produce effective User Experience design for desktop and mobile applications. As UX Designer, you will be hands-on in developing user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses.

You will develop and implement design concepts, with input as to user interface design considerations and produce specifications describing user interfaces and internal structures for products. Responsibilities

  • Establishes requirements for less complex design projects.
  • Works on completing all phases of UX engineering design projects.
  • Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders.
  • Analyzes results and recommends solutions.
  • Works on developing expected results on a variety of products.
  • Develops documentation for new projects and reviews previous results.
  • Works with latest technologies and new approaches.
  • Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or test.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments

Qualifications

  • Ability to deliver high quality work on time
  • Excellent communication skills - in person, written and presenting
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Online portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of user-centered design
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Sketch, Illustrator, InVision)

    • Required Education & Experience: Bachelors degree and 2+ years experience
