    This position will own and coordinate indirect tax matters related to state and local sales and use, value-added, gross receipts, real and personal property, transfer, escheatment, and other similar international, federal, state, or local jurisdictional taxes applicable to Company business activities.


    This position will manage a global indirect tax function which includes tax resources in and outside the US in regional or shared service center locations and outsourced service providers. The successful candidate will need to have project management experience working across functions to influence business operations, processes and systems.






    • Establishes global indirect tax policies and procedures and coordinates roles and responsibilities with other key stakeholders or process owners.
    • Defines indirect tax specifications for, maintains, documents, and supports indirect tax systems required to ensure proper compliance with jurisdictional tax laws, including Vertex, Oracle, Business Intelligence or other automation tools used to assess indirect taxes, Company ERP systems interfaces to indirect tax systems, and other Company subsystems
    • Creates value for the Company by engaging with business operations personnel to review business transactions with a view towards minimization of the amount of indirect taxes that are applicable to or not fully recoverable. Seeks opportunities for refunds of prior taxes and works to minimize future overpayments.
    • Responsible for documenting and maintaining Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance documentation and Company policies and procedures for indirect tax processes.
    • Manages the compliance for global indirect taxes, including out-source compliance providers, preparation of tax returns, determination of nexus, jurisdictional audits, protests, risk/reserve analysis for financial statement purposes.
    • Performs due diligence, risk assessment, and integration activities for merger and acquisition transactions for the Company.
    • Manages indirect tax staff, external consultants, and interaction with divisional personnel.
    • Develops and delivers training to the Company related to the application of indirect taxes to business transactions.
    • Responsible for reconciliation of general ledger accounts related to indirect taxes in accordance with Corporate policies.


    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major (i.e. Accountancy Business Administration) with applicable Accounting certification
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • Minimum 15 years of indirect tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate environment
      • Requires international experience with indirect taxes, including EMEA/APAC jurisidictions
      • Experience with designing and maintaining global indirect tax software is a major plus
