New Product Introduction / NPI Program Manager, Senior

Manages programs consisting of multiple projects. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services. Manages programs from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of program performance. Ensures that programs are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics by managing through Project Managers, each responsible for managing an aspect of the program. Participates in program review and status meetings, and communicates project status. Utilizes six sigma and program management methodologies to ensure maximum program effectiveness. Motivates program team to ensure optimal performance. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Determines and develops approach to solutions.


  1. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams of engineering, global supply chain, manufacturing and third party development partners in executing new product introduction projects, and customer fulfillment projects.
  2. Act as a single point of contact and responsibility with the customers, project teams, business functions and business leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and business success with projects completed on time, within budget and to contractual commercial, technical and quality requirements.
  3. Manage introduction of products into volume manufacture in China.
  4. Effectively mitigate project risks and create opportunities for project execution enhancements.
  5. Develop and maintain the project plans through the use of the project work breakdown structure, work scope definitions, schedules, resource requirements, expenditure schedules, and NPI process.
  6. Be accountable to the business for execution of the projects Functionality, Cost, Quality and Time to Market objectives.
  7. Lead the project teams to execute the NPI process and through tollgate processes and meet schedule.
  8. Coordinate the resolution of issues between business functions to drive overall project process.
  9. Monitor and report progress to business functions and leadership on regular basis.
  10. Lead NPI process improvements and implementation.
  11. Oversee and support procurement of 3rd party resources used for development or as partners and monitor and manage the deliverables of these companies.
  12. Ensure material is available to support all development builds.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred Work Experience (years): 5+ years
  • Key Skills and Competencies:
    • Intermediate to advanced communication and facilitation skills. Formal training preferred
    • Intermediate to advanced presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to mid to senior level cross functional audiences.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced concepts with program management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in delegation and follow up
    • Demonstrated working knowledge / experience  of technical business unit assigned to (Hardware, Software, Services, etc)
