    The Global Sales Technical Lead reports into Global Technical Enablement team. The Global Technical Enablement team is a highly experienced group of systems technologists that are skilled in mobile device software development, large system integration and security systems.  This team is called upon to solve system problems that are considered critical to the field at large.  This team stays in contact with Zebra’s worldwide network of Sales Engineers that support all Zebra Sales teams, ISV and Solution Integrator Partners as well as all product engineering teams.


    • Develop and Enable Technical Ecosystem: Technically capable of acting as a team lead in at least one of the following areas:  Software Development, Hardware Development, System Engineering or Program Management. Drive self-supporting systems that promote rapid knowledge sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
    • Global Partner Relationships: Can build and maintain strong and knowledgeable relationships and collaborate effectively with all internal and partner stakeholders to foster and ensure alliance and solution success.
    • Global Alignment: Has a global perspective and the ability to build bridges with key leaders and personnel throughout the organization. Identifies regional solutions that can be repurposed globally enabling increased sales
    • Significant Internal Impact:  Being an internal advocate for partners and customers and trying to help get our strategy right. Identifying technology challenges in the field and facilitating fixes prior to product release. Participate in technical and design discussions with technical executives at strategic partners to speed adoption and ensure best practices during implementation.
    • Account Engagement  Help drive adoption on newly developed products. Assist partners in their technical understanding and best practice implementation of these new products. Identify and showcase partners that have the potential to generate a snowball effect due to their market penetration or the exploitative nature of their work.
    • Product Team Advisor: Engage with the product teams on technology decisions to include worldwide customer and partner needs. Champion high impact critical feedback from the field into product marketing and engineering.
    • Champion to the Field: Promotes, both internally and externally, the use of a Zebra Products and technology in person and online through talks, articles, blogging, user demonstrations, recorded demonstrations, or the creation of sample projects.
    • Deep Domain Knowledge: Posses deep technical, system or vertical knowledge allowing you to assist in guiding customer and channel partners to productive solution implementations.  


    • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Engineering or Computer Science (Master Preferred)
    • Beneficial to have past experience in sales, service, engineering and/or product development
    • Drive Global Partner revenue by working closely with Global Partner team and engaging in technical discussions and evangelism.
    • Requires both a technical aptitude and business acumen to access / develop joint value propositions for our mutual customers.
    • Understands technologies holistically - can easily derive root values of solutions and technology.
    • Follows technology trends, competition and influencers in the Enterprise space.
    • Deep analytical skills, enabling comprehension and development of complex business and technical issues, topics, and plans
    • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and partners concurrently
    • Understanding of Zebra technology and solutions
    • Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently
    • Demonstrated ability to consult on technically oriented projects and problems producing positive results. 
    • Excellent presentation skills are required for this position.  This includes the ability to create presentations, provide seminars, and discuss subjects on a spontaneous basis with all levels of an organization. 
    • Ability to develop demonstrations or sample solutions and projects
    • Working knowledge of developing mobile applications in either Windows Mobile, Windows CE, or Android.
    • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and execute on needed priorities to develop and drive the business  

    Beneficial Skills:

    • International business experience is an important consideration for this position.
    • Detail oriented, organized, and possess strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
    • 5+ years’ experience in software design and analysis as applied to application-level software development.
    • Application development experience on Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Windows, Android & Linux platforms
    • Experience with a couple of C, C++, C#, .NET and Java programming languages.
    • Experience with development tools such as Android or Visual Studio
    • Experience with WEB development using HTML, JavaScript, , Web Services
    • Database administration/programming with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or mySQL
    • Experience with ERP systems from SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft
