  • Overview

    Position leads the Tax research and compliance activities and manages tax related financial systems integrity in compliance with applicable regulated requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversees and prepares quarterly and annual income tax provision computations, and related disclosures in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Oversees the preparation and documentation of complex tax computations required to complete income tax returns. (Items include but are not limited to R&D credit analysis, UNICAP computations, headquarter cost allocations and foreign earnings & profits calculations.)
    • Oversees management of OneSource Tax Provision Income Tax Accounting System
    • Oversee the preparation and review of work paper files related to tax returns and internal tax related projects.
    • Assists during income tax examinations
    • Assists with the evaluation of the effective tax rate, maintenance of tax reserves, and overall reconciliation of current and deferred taxes and valuation allowances.
    • Leads and directs tax projects as they arise.
    • Supports Director with mergers and acquisition tax accounting work.
    • Mentors and supervises staff of two juniors including hiring, firing, coaching, and performance management.
    • Continuously maintains a current knowledge of tax law changes related to company business operations and determine the potential impact of such changes on tax filing positions and effective income tax rate. Monitor, review and update tax related internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Section (SARBOX) 404.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.  Applicable Accounting certification preferred
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • Minimum of 8 years of experinece including 3 years with public accounting preferably “Big 4
      • CPA
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Prior management experience preferred
      • Exceptional functional and technical knowledge of Federal tax law practices, issues and filings
      • Excellent written and Oral Communication Skills
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Advanced computer and software skills
      • Strong analytical skills
