  • Overview

    This Position will manage Supply Chain Planners to drive our supply chain planning processes and develop innovative solutions to solve complex problems that will drive growth, lower cost, improve service and enhance operational effectiveness for our customers.

     

    The Engineering Change Management Implementation Team is being formed to manage part, product and supplier changes throughout the product lifecycle. This position will manage Supply Chain Planners to determine the optimal date to transition replacement parts onto a Bill of Material and to support cross-organizational consensus meetings.

     

    Develop necessary business processes and key performance indicators.  Will be accountable for timely execution of part transitions and resulting financial impact.  

    Responsibilities

    • Manage team of planners to drive end-to-end planning, monitoring and execution of part, product and supplier transitions from initial creation until final implementation at suppliers.
    • Collect supply and demand data from suppliers to establish optimal transition dates.
    • Chair cross-functional meetings with supply chain, engineering and product management to review part and product changes and establish consensus transition plans and implementation dates.
    • Approve Engineering Changes to ensure change record reflects consensus transition plan and implementation date. Ensure all supporting documentation and evidence is provided.    
    • Assure material transition plans are executed at supplier sites.
    • Monitor and adjust plans over time to ensure optimum business outcome.
    • Collect, review and challenge engineering change financial cost impact analysis from suppliers. Ensure all costs are captured and communicated to stakeholders.   
    • Establish mitigation plans for excess materials generated by Engineering Changes.
    • Verify changes are implemented at contract manufacturers on defined transition date. Update transition dates as required to minimize financial liability.  Verify final cost impact of the change. 
    • Support excess and obsolete material review meetings by forecasting material excess due to ECs.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the team. 
    • Develop key performance indicators and publish metrics to track departmental attainment.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • 10+ years supply chain experience including 2 years in a management role
    • Experience in supply, demand planning, commodity management, new product introduction, product lifecycle management or business analysis.  
    • Experience managing product transitions and engineering changes (ECs/ECOs/ECNs)
    • Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must possess prior management experience.
    • Oracle Agile (PDM) and ERP experience a plus
    • Strong analytical skills
