    Looking for a highly analytical person comfortable working with big data sets.  The role includes categorizing & maintaining a variety of data sets on a Hadoop platform related to company manufacturing & customer relations as well os IoT smart device metrics.   Ultimately the candidate should become the subject-matter-expert or SME liaison between data consumers and data sources.   A good candidate should demonstrate experience in combing through large data sets to trace sequences of events and discover atypical patterns.


    • Highly organized & analytical
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Experienced cataloging, organizing company data especially around a manufacturing processes and IoT smart device metrics.
    • Expected to define & maintain data governance & audit processes.
    • Ability to generate product test cases based on observed data set patterns.
    • Relevant experience with data analysis for asset management or logistics focused on workflow optimization and predictive analytics a plus
    • Experience with Hadoop eco-system and tools
    • Good communication skills and ability to work across business organizations
    • Familiar with privacy standards GDPR, PII, HIPAA and necessary controls
    • Schema design in various NoSQL technologies a plus (Parquet, Avro, Kudu, ElasticSearch, Mongo)
    • Query optimization skills a plus
    • Machine learning skills a plus

      • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree or Masters in an appropriate engineering discipline required.
