    We are looking for an exceptional team member to work as part of our Global Business Development team, to be the focal point for developing the GTM strategy and providing business development focus for Professional Services and next-generation Solutions in NA. This is a critical role to build and leverage existing leadership of Zebra and future growth outside of our core markets.

     

    This role is remote and can be based anywhere in North America near a major airport. 

    Responsibilities

    The Business Development Manager will be part of the “Global Business Development team” which includes Business Development functions for Professional Services, Global Partners and OEM. The team is part of the Global Sales and Services organization and provides business development support to the regional and local sales teams based in the countries.  This role will also be tasked with defining if new routes or channels to market are required, and making recommendations to senior management as to what this “Go To Market” model would consist of, define the business development needs for this market and develop pertinent contacts in the industry.

     

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

    • Be a Professional Services and Solutions advocate to customers, partners and the local sales teams.
    • Develop business development strategy jointly with the regional solutions specialists and different stakeholders.
    • Build partnerships and overall ecosystem for professional services and solutions offerings to include development of the right senior and mid-level relationships within the chosen partners/customers to drive the messaging to our joint target sales teams and customers.
    • Work with key stakeholders to support and drive professional services and solutions adoption by customers and partners.
    • Lead and coordinate multi-functional teams to ramp up pipeline growth.
    • Work closely with marketing and the regional Sales Leader to create and showcase value of Zebra.
    • Foster tight linkage between Professional Services and OEM/Global Partners Sales to drive incremental revenue.
    • Ensure alignment with other divisions of Zebra e.g. marketing, product marketing, legal, finance and the regional channel and end user sales teams.
    • Coordinate with regional / in-country Zebra resources & ensure where appropriate the partner teams are educated, supported, and trained to sell the full portfolio of Zebraprofessional services and solutions.
    • Coordinate with regional / in-country resources and facilitate and support joint demand generation and business development initiatives, following them through to deal ownership and closure where required.
    • Engage with and support other regional members of the Business Development team and the regional / in-country Zebra resources dedicated to the specific partner accounts
    • Appropriate sales forecasting in line with standard Zebra processes.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelors or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • 5+ years of applicable work experience
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Significant experience of distribution and partner channels as routes to market for mobility
      • Must be able to effectively coordinate across various groups and functional teams both inside and outside of the business.
      • Demonstrable understanding of professional services and solutions, their associated technology eco-system, partners and challenges to drive successfully customer outcomes.
      • Strong mobility sector background
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good listening and presentation skills
      •  Demonstrable business development skills
      • Self-starter who enjoys working in a team to accomplish goals
      • Good attention to detail
      • Ability to travel across NA on a regular basis
