  • Overview

    This high visibility role leads an experienced team of financial reporting professionals to oversee and develop the preparation of our external SEC reporting.  This role will also lead technical accounting research and cross-functional project management for new accounting pronouncements as well as  special projects (potential acquisitions/divestitures, peer benchmarking, accounting policy development, etc).


    • Develops strategy and procedures for the analysis and timely preparation for completion of applicable financial agency filings
    • Manages development of standards and procedures for function to prepare applicable data gathering, consolidation and analysis of financial data relative to the preparation of required regulatory filings. Reports can include among others: 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements and the annual report.
    • Manages the analysis process and recommendations on preparation of cash flow statements, earnings release calculations, equity footnotes and other equity related disclosures.
    • Leads technical accounting research and analysis projects and oversees the review and interpretation of new and proposed accounting regulations.
    • Leads/Participates in potential acquisitions/divestitures, accounting policy development and other special projects that are cross-functional in nature.
    • Utilizes expertise to consult members of Finance with work on projects requiring technical accounting information and advice.
    • Manages budget and critical processes for department.
    • Recommends changes and develops improved policy and procedures for Financial Reporting function.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with company management.
    • Selects, develops and evaluates Financial Reporting staff.  May manage other management level employees


    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.  CPA preferred
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with prior experience at a manager level
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Experience with complex technical accounting issues.
      • Advanced Excel and database skills
      • Advanced experience with ERP systems
      • Advanced Technical Financial experience and knowledge of financial reporting regulations (i.e. SEC, EU, FASB).
      • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
      • Demonstrated ability to interface with management  levels across functions
