    The Account Manager is a direct sales position responsible for selling Zebra Retail Solutions (ZRS) products and services to targeted retailers within a specific geographic area of North America, that being primarily the midwest of the United States. The position reports to the vice president, business development for ZRS. 

     

    **This is a remote opportunity that must be based in the midwest near a major airport. 

    Responsibilities

    • The selected candidate will be responsible for driving assigned new business revenue growth by successfully selling Zebra Retail Solutions' products and services to targeted retailers within an assigned geographic area of North America.
    • The successful candidate will generate his or her own opportunity sales leads as well as act upon sales leads provided by Zebra resources.  
    • The selected candidate will leverage his/her experience selling technology solutions and services to Retailers to generate new business revenue for Zebra Retail Solutions’ offerings. 
    • As a BDM for Zebra Retail Solutions the selected candidate will secure new business with new prospective client opportunities and will not be responsible for ongoing client relationship management. ZRS’ Client Care team assumes ongoing account management. 
    • The selected candidate will have the benefit of working closely with other Zebra sales, product and account specialists whose expertise will be supportive in nearly all new business opportunities. 
    • The selected candidate will be responsible for securing new business client meetings which lead to client tests and pilots of ZRS’ offerings. 

    Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of solutions sales experience selling technology solutions and services ideally to retailers within North America.  
    • Consultative sales experience marketing business applications (such as inventory control) consisting of software and services to Retailers would be ideal. 
    • The candidate will be able to demonstrate his/her successful track record in business development. 
    • The candidate will hold a BS/BS degree at a minimum from an accredited university. 
    • Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
    • Familiarity with retail business functions such as inventory management, loss prevention, asset protection and in-store systems is highly desirable.
    • SFDC is Zebra’s deployed sales opportunity and client management tool – ideally the selected candidate will have familiarity with this system.  
    • This position entails 25% + travel within the assigned geography.
