  • Overview

    We are expanding our Enterprise Software ‘Center of Excellence’ in downtown Chicago by hiring key industry leaders including the Director, Product Management, Enterprise Asset Intelligence.  Reporting to the VP/GM, Enterprise Software, the role leads our Software-as-a-Service and Data-as-a-Service product activities across our key verticals.

     

    We strive to transform workflows in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, and field services by leveraging a ‘system-of-reality’ that we are building for enterprises, their workers, and customers using the Internet of Things (IOT), data services, blockchain, intelligent edge technologies, and cloud native services from AWS, Azure, Google, and ARM. 

     

    You may know Zebra Technologies for our industry leading enterprise mobile computers, scanners, and printers but more often, we are viewed as an innovative solutions provider that enables asset, people, and goods intelligence across mission critical operational use cases.  Along with our network of over 2,300 ISV partners, we provide end-to-end solutions giving a performance edge at the front-line of business.

    Responsibilities

    • Build a product strategy around the physical-to-digital, systems-of-reality transformation in retail, healthcare, transportation, logistics, manufacturing and field services that leverages Zebra’s core device capabilities and systems-of-reality solutions such as SmartLens® in Retail and SmartPack® in T&L.

     

    • Build and lead a team of product managers and product owners that together with product development engineers, data experts, app designers, and program managers deliver new product capabilities across Zebra’s channels.

     

    • Engage the competitive market as an industry leader, by continually seeking insights and potential acquisition targets that complement our portfolio. Identify data and content in-licensing opportunities that augment Zebra data products.

     

    • Evangelize Zebra’s Enterprise Asset Intelligence capabilities to customers, partners, suppliers, media, industry, and internal Zebra stakeholders as a thought leader in leveraging software and data services to digitize workflows and more autonomously serve customers.

     

    • Establish standard licensing processes and identify innovative monetization opportunities for Zebra’s software and data services in various direct and indirect channels including Zebra’s developer.zebra.com portal.

     

    • Ensure go-to-market plans and execution via Zebra’s product line management processes and engaging go-to-market ISVs, partners, and resellers.

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years leading product managers including proven success inspiring a diverse team

     

    • Successful track record launching software-as-a-service and data-as-a-service products for enterprises; retail, T&L, healthcare, manufacturing, and field service experience is a plus

     

    • Proven success delivering award winning enterprise mobile apps built upon a data-oriented architecture

     

    • Experience with advanced data technologies and capabilities such as data science, machine learning, blockchain, API management, and cloud native platform services that process in the cloud, on-premise, and autonomously on the edge

     

    • Proven experience managing complex products and data-oriented solutions on an end-to-end basis as defined in the Pragmatic Marketing Framework

     

    • Executive understanding of financial concepts and modeling including P&L, pricing, and ROI analysis

     

    • Established industry reputation across media, analysts and events with a proven ability to orally and visually convey complex concepts to customers, media, and industry participants – including proven expertise demoing data solutions to audiences

     

    • Willingness to build a high performing team in Downtown Chicago that works cross functionally across 8,000 employees and 2,300 ISV partners, globally.

     

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science

     

    • Extensive travel required to support a global product and solutions organization
