    Specifically this role would ensure we maintain efficiency within our operations by designing and implementing solutions using Lean Six Sigma to improve lead-time, reduce cost and optimize space.  

     

    Responsibilities

    • Define and improve reconfiguration and Warehouse processes
    • Mange and improve Engineering Change process
    • Create Standard works and procedures
    • Ensure Asset Management and Lifecycle control processes are maintained.
    • Define and improve standard Hrs. for the reconfiguration area and the warehouse
    • Times Studies/Most analysis
    • Determine Value Add vs. non Value Add activities and eliminate or reduce them
    • Review Layouts base on standards criteria
    • Continuous Flow (Process, Material and People flow)
    • Optimize the Space utilization (manufacturing, packing, configuration, warehouse, etc.) and reduce it.
    • Capacity Analysis
    • Capacity analysis for DL, IDL, machines, test equipment and all resources required on the operation.
    • Evaluate fixtures, machines and test equipment for ergonomics and times analysis before been implemented on the production line..
    • Track and improve the Reconfiguration and Ware House Lead time
    • Evaluate and give input to design for ease of assembly. And reconfiguration
    • Review packaging material for better handle and price reduction.
    • Drive the Lean Transformation initiatives an support the lean transformation Plan.
    • Work with the cross-functional team to meet the critical metrics like quality, cost, delivery, lead time and Service
    • Support test systems for product reconfiguration at Distribution Centers. Diagnose issues, work with test developers located remotely at design centers for issue resolution.
    • Work with account teams to perform product firmware / software update validations, structure product BOMs to capture FW/SW, develop and document processes for mass production of product downloads, including using tools for wireless download.
    • Develop and provide ongoing technical improvement plans and status reports on progress.
    • Products to support include label and card printers, and based Android mobile computers.
    • Resolves/leads complex development/ problem resolution / improvement projects. Continuous innovation.  
    • Support DC site in the US, as well remotely partner  and possible act as backup with the other engineers in the Netherlands, Singapore, and Shanghai.
    • Minimal travel required.

    Qualifications

    • U.S. Only:
      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Electronics or Software Engineering with a minimum of 10 years related manufacturing electronics industry experience or equivalent.
      • Proactive and results oriented
      • Ability to perform product software / firmware updates
      • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and develop business optimized responses
      • Proficient in standard desktop applications with specialization in product testing and associated software tools.
      • Test script modification and familiarization with test instrumentation.
      • Knowledge with some experience in operating and Troubleshooting Automated Test setups.
      • Ability to design and implement test plan
      • Good verbal and written communication skills in a multi-cultural, technical environment.
      • Familiar with data collection systems.
      • Effective management skills to handle multiple priorities
      • Six Sigma knowledge (black belt, green belt or yellow below) a plus
