  • Overview

    The Global Communications  Advisor (Channel Marketing) leads the end-to-end planning and readiness of strategic and global channel initiatives including the development of an integrated channel communications strategy that delivers clear and concise messaging to internal and external audiences. This person will coordinate across organizational and geographic boundaries to ensure change management, alignment and expectations are clear and ensure that deliverables and milestones are met. They will ensure that priority initiatives include a clear route to market strategy and that change management and communications are targeted towards those segments of our channel that are essential for success.


    • Develop strategic change management, readiness milestones and communications processes and governance for the channel organization including partner program guides
    • Execute on communications processes for the for the channel organization to enable the most effective content creation and execution process including reviews, translations and audience-specific execution
    • Drive a centralized channel communications strategy including newsletter management and delivery including global content and working closely with regions to include regional content such as promotions, events, success stories, etc.
    • Establishes and manages the governance model that defines the creation and management of core global PartnerConnect Program materials and guidelines
    • Supports strategic event program goals with content creation and execution including Partner Advisory Councils (PACs), Global Partner Events and other partner-focused events
    • Establish and manage the framework and governance model to ensure that our Partner Portal content and messaging is current and accurate
    • Create and manage a global channel communication calendar to ensure all internal audiences are aware and enabled on all communications going to our channel. Manage conflicts with calendar to ensure best channel experience
    • Create and execute strategic and creative communications programs to drive enablement of our channel program’s benefits, enable partner recruitment,
    • Coordinate with channel operations team to create and execute communications plans for IT launches that will impact our channel partners


    Preferred Education

    • Bachelor's degree in business or communications discipline

    Preferred Work Experience (years)

    • Minimum 8 years experience managing complex communications and change management initiatives 

    Key Skills and Competencies

    • Ability to lead direct reports and cross organizational teams to develop strategic change management, readiness milestones and communications with an understanding and focus on specific segments of the channel community
    • Demonstrated experience working on a global scale with sensitivities to cultural and regional differences
    • Extensive background in professional writing and communications including messaging, content development, event strategy, presentations, branding, social media and brand awareness.
    • Proven skills at leading and / or influencing virtual teams of people around common goals and priorities
    • Comfortable and skillful at working with and solving problems with executive level stakeholders
    • Management experience with outside marketing vendors as well as project managers and contractors
    • Proficient at developing partner program materials working with marketing and communications to aid in program launch and the recruitment and retention of targeted partners
    • Proven understanding of sales processes, systems, tools, including PRM/CRM, lead
    • Inspiring interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
    • Demonstrates high degree of initiative and complex problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
    • Comfortable working with field resources, C-Suite, and external business owners
    • Good presentation skills
    • Ability to handle negotiations effectively
