Globally Managed Support Services (GMSS) is an exciting part of the Zebra Technologies business, created to deliver innovative service offerings that increase the productivity and efficiencies of businesses and public organizations across key vertical markets. The Service Technologies team within GMSS is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst – SME (Subject Matter Expert) to develop new products, enhance and support existing products.

Whether through rapid repair and replacement, Managed Services that oversee asset use and health, freeing IT and Operations resources, or giving insights to improve business operations, we keep customers doing what they do best. We provide repair service and technical support for millions of Zebra devices in the field.

    Responsibilities

    The Systems Analyst-SME (Subject Matter Expert) will be part of a Product Engineering team developing and supporting a customer and partner facing cloud based, SaaS product. This innovative solution combines IoT data from sensors on our devices, backend business process data and other system of records to deliver actionable intelligence to our customer to optimize their device availability and utilization. Using some of the latest technologies like Big Data, IoT, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and modern data collection mechanisms our platform gathers operational and support information for analysis and provides consolidated and actionable information to help our customers and partners manage their devices in the field. In this position the System Analyst (SA) will be working closely with Product Management group to understand the new product features (and modifications) and document the feature requirements as JIRA Epics and Stories. The SA-SME will then work closely with Architect, technical team in detailing out the technical requirements and the implementation and execution of the new features.

     

    Key responsibilities include feature analysis, JAD sessions, story mapping, story writing, working with development and QA team during development sprints.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred
    • 12+ years of overall software industry experience
    • 7+ years in as a systems analyst – Subject Matter Expert (SME) with reputed firms
    • 3+ years as a SA-SME for product development initiatives with full PDLC
    • 5+ years of Agile experience working with business/Product Management team
    • 3+ years of past hands on software development experience in relevant technologies
    • 1+ years of experience working with Analytics, dashboards related products/projects
    • 2+ years of experience working with JIRA
    • 2+ years of experience writing clear functional and technical requirements as JIRA stories and documenting scenarios, workflows, business processes etc.
    • Must have experience working as a SA-SME for Web based, SaaS products and or data platforms
    • Extensive experience conducting JAD sessions and other methods of information elicitation from Product Management and other groups is a must
    • Experience working in the retail, healthcare, transportation and freight industries is a plus
    • Ability to act as the go to person for the team and can answer, clarify business/functionality/feature level questions or ambiguities
    • Experience of working with worldwide clients (NALA, EMEA, APAC)
    • Experience of having worked with other software product firms, particularly in the platforms or infrastructure space will be a plus
    • Must be a team player with excellent coordination skills 
    • Must be a high energy, dynamic personality with a friendly nature
    • Must have very good communication skills, both oral and written
