    Product Manager Principal is responsible for driving profitable growth of the company’s time and temperature indicator portfolio. In conjunction with senior management, the Product Manager Principal will execute the strategy to deliver revenue growth, ownership of the budget, coordination of new product development as well as build business relationship with our strategic partner.  This role serves as the company expert and serves as the primary interface within the business unit and with the external market.  Additionally, the role will shape how time and temperature indicator technology is used in our customer workplaces and establish service delivery performance criteria.

    • Exhibit ability to lead a team and communicate critical market information to the broader organization
    • Identify new market segment opportunities and potential business partners and make recommendations on a path forward to the Leadership Team
    • Conduct market studies and analysis, conduct risk and benefits analysis,  gather and analyze customer needs, technology intelligence and competitive analysis in tight collaboration with the commercial department and contract manufacturer.
    • Collaborate with commercial team to determine marketing activities, define customer-centric and industry-specific use cases for current and potential customers.  Create and execute plans related to the above.
    • Drive product awareness and partner to bring broad Temptime and Zebra portfolio solutions to current and future customers. 
    • Create and execute strategic plans, recommending adaptations, product line extensions and new product launches.
    • Create and implement launch plans.
    • Design sales tools
    • Collaborates internally and with contract manufacturer to provide feedback, being responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.  Leads new product development planning from Temptime perspective. 
    • Provides technical expertise and training to customers and internal stakeholders in support of product launch and maintenance/ongoing use.
    • Manages P&L for segment
    • Effectively manages pricing strategy; developed in coordination with VP Global Customer Development
    • Understand competitive threats and create competitive strategies
    • Control expenditures and conform to budgetary requirements.
    • Maintains and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintains work area organization and documentation to satisfy ISO and GMP standard
    • Maintains good communication and working relationships with all departments and effectively functions within a team environment.
    • Exhibits professional etiquette that exemplifies the values of the organization.

    • 12+ years of product marketing/product management experience with minimum of 5 years in a technical product area.
    • Expertise in project management cycles and deliverables for hi-tech products with long sales cycle
    • Knowledge of hardware, software, firmware development cycles
    • Knowledge of product and operational marketing, market studies, pricing, products, promotions, distribution and statistical tools.
    • Demonstrated management success in cross-functional collaboration.



    Language Ability:

    Must have outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.  Ability to communicate well with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally – particularly with technical audiences in customers.  Must have the capability to develop technical documents and presentations that are built to address customer questions and solutions needed.


    Math Ability:

    Consistent with a degree from a four (4) year college or university and training through working experiences.  


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems and collect and analyze data to solve the problems.  Ability to turn insight into strategies and actions.  Capability to develop analytical/economic models as sales tools or to assess costs/benefits of potential strategies or new product development.


    Education and Experience:

    BS/BA degree minimum and/or MBA degree with previous technical product/marketing experience.

    Experience with a CRM software program
