    The Vice President Sourcing and Procurement is responsible for the strategy and decisions related to Zebra’s spend on direct material for use in the manufacturing process. Secures pricing and contract terms that position Zebra for long term success. Ensures reliable delivery of products through supplier diversity and dual sourcing strategies.

    Responsibilities

    • Sets the overall strategy on direct procurement decisions for the organization
    • Represents Zebra externally with key suppliers at executive levels.
    • Sets policies and standards and drives execution against the supplier diversity, dual sourcing and cost savings targets. Communicates assessment of performance levels and drives improvement plans to address to gaps.
    • Is seen as a key partner in engineering development decisions, providing input to BU leaders for key decisions
    • Responsible for the procurement service across the breadth of Zebra, representing leadership in both the direct and indirect space
    • Through subordinate regional and functional leaders, oversees a dispersed organization of procurement professionals. Demonstrates and sets the expectations for talent selection and development, performance management and recognition to drive high levels of performance, engagement and retention.
    • Drives innovation in Zebra's culture through messaging, development and recognition
    • Owns responsibility for the organization’s budget, making trade-offs and re-prioritizing initiatives to meet cost and revenue targets

     

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred

     

    20 or more years’ experience including minimum 10 years management experience as well as experience working with contract manufacturing

    • Experience leading a global supply chain team
    • Proven track record of innovation to drive differentiation
    • Proven experience leading organizations through transformation and change
    • Strong influencing and communication (written,verbal, presentation) skills
    • Affinity for coaching and mentoring team members to build a strong team and to motivate individuals and groups to achieve goals, while providing personal and professional growth
    • Experience working in outsourced design and supply chain environments including the implementation and ongoing interface of Contract Manufacturing and ODM partnerships.
    • Comfortable working at all levels, C-Suite, and external business owners
    • Ability to balance negotiations effectively
