    Zebra Technologies has acquired Profitect Inc., a leading provider of prescriptive analytics for the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. The addition of the Profitect solution offerings, technology, talents team and culture to Zebra expands our relevancy deeper and wider in global retails operations. The R&D team is looking for a QA Lead Engineer Located in Greater Boston, MA.


    In the Lead QA Automation Engineer role, you will work as an integral member of the R&D team working on the Profitect product. You'll interact daily with engineering teams and management to understand the overall product and to create the overall QA automation test suite.

    You will provide software quality assurance engineering services to advance the capabilities of our software solution and have an impact on an emerging product category. You will help to generate and execute test procedures on web and mobile applications. Modify and execute manual software test plans. Analyze test results to validate existing functionality and recommend corrective action. Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify fixes.


    • Designs, develops, and tests on a variety of software assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project
    • Develops and tests documentation which describes the specific software functionality
    • Participates and provides some input in project code reviews
    • Runs software tests designed by more experienced engineers
    • Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems
    • Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards
    • Makes changes to or upgrades existing software. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions
    • Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity
    • Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems
    • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
    • Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments
    • May provide guidance to non-exempt personnel
    • Builds productive working relationships internally and externally
    • Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters


    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Masters degree preferred 
    • 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering required
    • Utilizing Microsoft Office Tools
    • Utilizing analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Quickly learning new concepts independently
    • QA process tools including Jira
    • Microsoft Windows Server and Linux
    • Agile development methodologies
