The Program Manager leads low-level, simple programs consisting of multiple, small projects.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a technical educational background in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering, who then has worked in those fields either as a system engineer, mechanical engineer or electrical engineer for a number of years. During that time our person would preferably have some experience in the management of projects. Our ideal candidate would have done this in their recent past and now view an opportunity to move upwards into fulltime program management role as a next step forward in their career.

This position is in Zebra's Data Capture Solutions group, which specializes in Barcode and RFID Scanners and Solutions.
Coordinates departmental or multi-functional teams, passionate about delivering new or upgraded existing products or services. Leading programs from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of program performance. Ensures that programs are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics by managing through Project Managers, each responsible for handling an aspect of the program. Participates in program review and status meetings, and communicates project status. Motivates program team to ensure optimal performance. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Figures out and develops approach to solutions.
